Delegates arrived for NABBSS at Halifax International Airport [YHZ] / Dalhousie University on the morning of Monday June 26th 2017. Upon arrival, attendees then check into the accommodation, before joining NABBSS staff for our first afternoon / evening summer school rehearsals

The following day, Tuesday June 27th, saw full band and sectional rehearsals, in preparation for our first evening RNSIT sequence rehearsal. This was followed by afternoon uniform jacket fittings, a staging rehearsal and then the first evening dress rehearsal together with the additional international civilian bands, military bands and other Tattoo performers at the Scotiabank Centre, Halifax.

Wednesday June 28th & Thursday June 29th then saw further full band and sectional rehearsals / workshops with tuition staff, before our second RNSIT evening dress rehearsal on the 28th, and RNSIT Preview Show for Tattoo friends & family on June 29th.

Friday June 30th then saw a further morning NABBSS rehearsal ahead of the first fully public RNSIT matinee performance, followed by a final preparatory rehearsal ahead of our July 1st morning Canada Day concert. The concert was then followed by the special Canada Day performance of the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, in the presence of His Honour, the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, followed by a free evening and the traditional Canada Day fireworks display in Halifax Harbour.

July 2 then saw a morning open workshop and reading session at the Scotiabank Centre, ahead of the Sunday RNSIT matinee performance and a second free evening to socialise or seek individual lessons / small ensemble performance with NABBSS tutorial staff.

Monday July 3 then saw another RNSIT matinee performance, before our own evening public concert with pipe organ at St Matthew's Church, always a highlight of each NABBSS course.

Further afternoon concerts then followed on Tuesday & Wednesday July 4 & 5, as part of the Tattoo Festival held across the beautiful Halifax waterfront, plus two final evening Tattoo performances.

The final performance of NABBSS and RNSIT took place on the afternoon of Thursday July 6, after which delegates then enjoyed a final social evening together. Delegates were free to depart for home, either on the final evening or - we recommend - on the following morning.
