Delegates are to arrive for NABBSS at Halifax International Airport [YHZ] / Dalhousie University on the morning of Saturday June 23rd 2018. Attendees can then check into the accommodation, before joining NABBSS staff for our first afternoon / evening summer school rehearsals before heading to the Scotiabank Centre to view the final RNSIT sequence rehearsal.

The following day, Sunday June 24th, will then see full band rehearsal at the Halifax Armouries, in preparation for the evening RNSIT dress rehearsal. This will be followed by afternoon uniform jacket fittings, a staging rehearsal and then the evening dress rehearsal together with the additional international civilian bands, military bands and other Tattoo performers at the Scotiabank Centre, Halifax.

Monday June 25th will then see a further morning rehearsal followed by an RNSIT Matinee Schools Performance ahead of the final evening RNSIT dress rehearsal.

Tuesday June 26th through Thursday June 28th will then see the daytime summer school progress in earnest with daily concert repertoire and sectional rehearsals together with masterclasses from individual members of the NABBSS faculty, followed by evening RNSIT performances. The Tuesday evening RNSIT performance will be captured for later television broadcast, while a free afternoon on Wednesday June 27th affords delegates the opportunity for a little down time, to explore the city of Halifax or to seek individual lessons from NABBSS staff.

Friday June 29th see a morning rehearsal followed by the first RNSIT matinee performance, which is followed by a free evening again for delegates to enjoy a relaxed night in the city. Saturday June 30th then features a full day's activity with a morning rehearsal, afternoon RNSIT matinee performance and then a formal evening concert at our rehearsal base, the magnificent St Matthew's Church.

Sunday July 1st is Canada Day, which will see NABBSS featured in an outdoor morning festival concert, plus RNSIT amtinee and evening performances, ahead of a celebratory night with the option of taking in the spectacle of the HRM Canada Day Fireworks Display.

Monday July 2 then sees a final open Q&A session with all staff, led by Dr Robert Childs, followed by a final RNSIT matinee performance, after which delegates can then enjoy a final social evening. *Delegates are then free to depart for home, either that evening or - we would recommend - on the morning of Tuesday July 3.

NABBSS is an incredibly rewarding and unique global performance experience. Feedback from delegates of previous years' courses can be found in the Testimonials section of the website here, while further information on the city of Halifax and surrounding region, plus information on NABBSS accommodation, catering and fees, can be found here

*N.B.
